Executive Director, Educators for Sensible Drug Policy

Judith earned her M.A and B.A. degrees in the Faculty of Education and Communications Interdisciplinary Studies at Simon Fraser University. Her research on drug issues began in 2003 when she was appointed Executive Director of Educators for Sensible Drug Policy. EFSDP is an international non-profit organization representing educators, parents and youth who want evidence based drug education taught in public schools using a health and wellness approach. She is a former First Nation school administrator and teacher in British Columbia for over 25 years. Judith has presented her research to the Liberal Senate and House of Commons in Ottawa advocating for a ‘moratorium on cops in classrooms’, a collaborative and cooperative model to transition law enforcement officers away from teaching drug education in public schools from crime to wellness. She was invited to participate in the Liberal’s Legalization Task Force and has written numerous articles on drug policy issues in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.”
